Set up in five minutes

    Open the disk image and drag Whisker to Applications

    The app is signed with a Developer ID and notarized by Apple, so it opens without a warning.

    Paste your API keys

    Settings opens on General the first time and names each key it needs, one row each. The keys are yours, paid for by you while Whisker is in preview, and they stay on this Mac.

    Allow the microphone, accessibility and screen recording

    Each row in Settings > Permissions says where it stands and opens the right pane of System Settings. Screen recording is read only while you hold the key or a task runs.

    Hold Ctrl+Option and talk

    Let go when you are done. Escape cancels. The menu bar cat shows what Whisker is doing.

Keys are stored in the macOS Keychain and nowhere else. Removing a key in Settings removes it from the Keychain. The Synq Inbox connection is optional and takes a token from your inbox's Account page.
